Certified Information Systems Risk and Compliance Professional (CISRCP)

Contributor(s): Ben Cole

A Certified Information Systems Risk and Compliance Professional (CISRCP) is a person in the information technology (IT) field that has passed an examination on risk and compliance topics developed by the International Association of Risk and Compliance Professionals (IARCP).

The IARCP also offers a certified training course designed to prepare delegates to become a CISRCP. The five-day preparatory course trains candidates with the "knowledge and skills needed to understand and support regulatory compliance and enterprise-wide risk management in the IT environment," according to the IARCP. The course also provides candidates with the information needed to pass the CISRCP exam. Subject matter experts from the IARCP periodically review and update the body of knowledge offered by the CISRCP training course and exam.

The CISRCP training and certification course is intended for IT professionals who want to better understand risk and compliance management, and for employers demanding qualified risk and compliance professionals, according to the IARCP. When candidates pass the CISRCP exam, they are entitled to use the "Certified Information Systems Risk and Compliance Professional" title on their CV and resume.
